Villa Roncalli is a family run restaurant and hotel in the heart of Umbria. It occupies a delightful 17th century palace which is surrounded by cypresses. The hotel offers ten rooms, a terrace for outside dining, a swimming pool and free parking (locked overnight). The restaurant of Villa Roncalli is considered a gourmet pilgrimage of note, highly acclaimed and recommended by dining enthusiasts. The strictly seasonal cuisine is based on family and local tradition but at the same time highly elaborated. The art of the chef, Maria Luisa Scolastra, has recently been rewarded with the publication of a superb voluminous book on her cuisine.
